It’s a Heart Thing

In the post, “Are You Ready? 2018 is almost here” (12/27/2017 – https://lrmaddox.com/2017/12/are-you-ready-2018-is-almost-here/), the question to ask ourselves was, “Who is God sending me to?”  Similarly, we should also ask the question “Who is God sending to me?”

I’m doing something a bit different this time as I’d like you to watch a quick video: https://www.facebook.com/MyNewLifeOrg/videos/1702352466491094/

They sent for pizza and God specifically had her sent to them. He obviously had a plan for her and they were ready and willing to act upon it.

Currently, my Lifegroup is reading Lysa TerKeurst book, “What Happens When Women Say Yes to God.” In it, Lysa mentions a situation when she felt God wanted her to give someone her personal Bible and told the person this. Then she said something very profound to them, “Sometimes the God of the universe pauses in the midst of all His creation to touch the heart of one person. Today, He paused for you.” So, on that day, God paused specifically for that young lady who delivered the pizza. Isn’t that powerful? Can you imagine the impact it made to her and her family?

When I saw the video, it was moving, joyous, beautiful, and impactful. This visual emphasizes the purpose and meaning behind the Be Inspired series. It’s why we need to discover our “dream” and to be an inspiration if we are not already. God has a plan to use us to impact, touch, and inspire the lives of others. What will we receive from this? It’s beyond measure.

Helen Keller once said, “The best and most beautiful things in life cannot be seen, not touched, but are felt in the heart.” We feel this when we show God’s love by touching the hearts and lives of others.

“The aim of our charge is love that issues from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.” 1 Timothy 1:5 (ESV)

Be willing to let God use you. It begins and ends with your heart.

Thank you for your time. Be Blessed… LR Maddox

  1. Laura and I loved the video. We enjoyed how the church extended itself to the woman as an invitation to be her church home. Very touching! We will be adding 1 Timothy 1:5 to our short list of verses to memorize. Great job mom!
