Each day we live is a gift from God. We should be joyful, just based on that!

“This is the day the LORD has made. Let’s rejoice and be glad today!” Psalms 118:24 (GWT)

If we are dealing with unhappy circumstances, we should look to the Lord to help us through it. In Nehemiah 8:10c (GWT) we are told, “Don’t be sad because the joy you have in the LORD is your strength.”

In a devotional by Ronald A. and V. Gilbert Beers, they said, “It may not always be possible to be happy, but it is always possible to have joy. Happiness is temporary because it is based on external circumstances; true joy is lasting because it’s based on God’s constant presence and comfort.” Don’t you want a joy that will last and not be temporary? Then we should seek God for it.

As we approach a new day, let’s take the advice that OG Mandino (Author) gave:

I will forget the happenings of the day that is gone, whether they were good or bad, and greet the new sun with confidence that this will be the best day of my life.

Cherish the gift of each day by being joyful and believing it will be the best day EVER!
