Pray for our Nation, Governing Authorities, our State, our City, and each other.
“The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know. Pray especially for rulers and their governments to rule well so we can be quietly about our business of living simply, in humble contemplation. This is the way our Savior God wants us to live.” ― 1 Timothy 2:1-3

Previously, we identified who our neighbor is and that Jesus had given us a directive to “go” and show mercy to others. And doing so, we must not forget to pray, especially if we want to live in peace and unity. Here are additional verses to use:

• Jeremiah 29:7 (NIV) – “Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you… Pray to the LORD for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.”

• Psalm 33:12 (TPT) – “Blessed and prosperous is that nation who has God as their Lord! They will be the people he has chosen for his own.”

• 2 Thessalonians 3:1-2 (NLT) – “Finally, dear brothers and sisters, we ask you to pray for us. Pray that the Lord’s message will spread rapidly and be honored wherever it goes, just as when it came to you. Pray, too, that we will be rescued from wicked and evil people, for not everyone is a believer.”

While we continue on our Love Walk, let’s not forget these famous words, “…as we raise our voices in a solemn prayer. God bless America Land that I love…” ― Irving Berlin from God Bless America (song)
