Don’t Be Fooled, Stay Strong!

While our nation continues to address the coronavirus impacts, we need to stay strong. If we do not, then we can quickly and easily become impatient, anxious, discouraged, frustrated, weary, afraid, etc.

These negative thoughts and feelings are not from the Lord. In 1 Peter 5:8 TLB, it says, “Be careful—watch out for attacks from Satan, your great enemy. He prowls around like a hungry, roaring lion, looking for some victim to tear apart.”

What should we do? “…we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” 2 Corinthians 10:5 NIV

How do we do this? “Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.” Philippians 4:8 NLT

Let us remember the blessings we have already received and be thankful. Focus on God’s promises. And share all of this with Him in prayer.

Advice from the Bible:
Afraid? “When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.” Psalms 56:3 NIV
Anxious? “Lord, when doubts fill my mind, when my heart is in turmoil, quiet me and give me renewed hope and cheer.” Psalms 94:19 TLB
Weary? “And let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap, if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9 LEB
Need faith? “The apostles said to the Lord, ‘Increase our faith!’” Luke 17:5 NIV
Need peace? “I leave the gift of peace with you—my peace. Not the kind of fragile peace given by the world, but my perfect peace. Don’t yield to fear or be troubled in your hearts—instead, be courageous!” John 17:27 TPT
Need patience? “We ask him to strengthen you by his glorious might with all the power you need to patiently endure everything with joy.” Colossians 1:11 GW
Need strength? “But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one.” 2 Thessalonians 3:3 NLT

Germany Kent perfectly stated what we need to do, “Let your life reflect the faith you have in God. Fear nothing and pray about everything. Be strong, trust God’s word, and trust the process.”
