Who are YOU Encouraging? – Part 2

In helping others, we shall help ourselves, for whatever good we give out completes the circle and comes back to us.” – Flora Edwards

In the last post, we discussed what “encourage” means and why inspiring others is vital even for ourselves.   So, let’s look at a couple more benefits we receive when we do this.

Benefit #1 – “…God of all encouragement and comfort;  who encourages us in all our trials, so that we can encourage others in whatever trials they may be undergoing with the encouragement we ourselves have received from God.” – 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (CJB)

As God helps us through our difficult times, he is empowering us to share the same reassurances from Him and offer it to others.  As we receive, we give, and it blesses us.  What a way to close the circle!

Benefit #2 – “Don’t get tired of helping others. You will be rewarded when the time is right, if you don’t give up.” – Galatians 6:9 (CEV)

We do not know when we will receive it nor, do we know what it will be, but we will receive a prize by uplifting others and not quitting.

I hope these words from Joel Osteen motivates you, “Encouragement to others is something everyone can give. Somebody needs what you have to give. It may not be your money; it may be your time. It may be your listening ear. It may be your arms to encourage. It may be your smile to uplift. Who knows?”

My prayer is that you let God inspire you so that you are ready, willing, and able to encourage others.  No matter how God leads you to provide it.

Thank you for your time. Be Blessed… LR Maddox
