What Gifts are YOU Giving?

“…Give as freely as you have received!” – Matthew 10:8 TLB

We are in the midst of the Christmas season.  Countless advertisements and commercials, including various TV shows, are promoting the “best” gifts to purchase for our family, friends, and loved ones.

Yet, I have not heard mentioned two invaluable gifts, which does not cost us a thing. It is Grace and Mercy (see Ephesians 2:4-8 NASB).

Max Lucado tells us, There is a difference between grace and mercy. Mercy is the decision of God not to punish us. But grace is the decision of God to save and bless us.”

We are promised in 2 John 1:3 TPT, “God our Father and Jesus Christ, his Son, will release to us overflowing grace, mercy, and peace, filled with true love.”

God blesses us with these gifts daily.  It states in Lamentations 3:22-23 NLT, “The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.”

We have faced multiple challenges this year, so let us help bring healing to those around us. To our family, friends, neighbors, and those we meet along the way.

Today and every day, let us demonstrate God’s love by freely offering to others what has been given to us. The gifts beyond measure, those of Grace and Mercy.

Thank you for your time. Merry Christmas… LR Maddox
