“Even if something is left undone, everyone must take time to sit still and watch the leaves turn.” – Elizabeth Lawrence
I am so delighted with fall and what it has to offer. The last post reminded us of things God gives us that we take for granted but should appreciate or accomplish, including blessing others.
Today, let me encourage you to refresh your mind and soul by releasing any concern you are dealing with by giving it to God. Psalms 46:10 TPT says, “Surrender your anxiety. Be still and realize that I am God….”
Let’s step outside for a bit, whether taking a walk or simply sitting quietly and absorbing what nature has to offer.
John Muir once said, “Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature’s peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop away from you like the leaves of autumn.” This is God’s spa treatment at its finest.
I pray that you will take the advice from both Elizabeth and John by soaking in this season. Give God your worries, be still, and wait on Him. Psalm 62:5 NLT says:
Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him.
