Autumn’s Harvest

“Before the fruits of prosperity can come, the storms of life need to first bring the required rains of testing, which mixes with the seeds of wisdom to produce a mature harvest.” ― Lincoln Patz

This time of the year is known as harvest season.  We see crops ripe for the picking, although they do not reveal the amount of labor spent from the beginning until they are ready.  The process is not simple or quick.  A farmer can face many challenges with the soil, insects, animals & birds, and adverse weather conditions.

Similar to the farmer, if we sow, then we will also have harvest seasons. It will not be easy as we will need to invest our time and efforts.  We will encounter trials too, but the reward will be great! God encourages us to persevere so that we can gain our blessing.  Galatians 6:9 NIV says, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

If you haven’t already, I invite you to read the prior blogs for encouragement during this season; Autumn for the Soul, Autumn Reminders, and Autumn – God’s Spa Treatment.  Spend time with God, let Him know what’s troubling you, and get refreshed. Jesus is waiting on us (Matthew 11:28 NLT), “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.”

Thank you for your time. Be Blessed… LR Maddox
