“I am grateful for being alive today. It is my joy and pleasure to live another wonderful day.” ― Louise Hay
Previously, we discussed that joy should be our lifestyle and even noted its importance when Paul instructed the church in Corinth to “be joyful.”
For each of us, this should begin first thing every morning, the moment we wake up. It is appreciating the gift we just received from God by being alive! In that instance, it doesn’t matter what happened yesterday or what we “believe” our day will become.
“This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” ― Psalm 118:24 (ESV)
We should express our joy and gratitude that we have another day. It is just that simple! So, here’s some advice that illustrates this:
“Truly living means your days are filled with joy and thanksgiving for the very fact that you are alive. As opposed to constantly going after the next best thing you are going after a new goal to achieve.” ― Sandra Leon
“Rejoice in the abundance of being able to awaken each morning and experience a new day. Be glad to be alive, to be healthy, to have friends, to be creative, to be a living example of the joy of living…” ― Louise Hay
We have within ourselves Enough to fill the present day with joy, And overspread the future years with hope. ― William Wordsworth
I encourage you to thank God for this day and rejoice in His gift if you haven’t taken the opportunity to do so already. Let it become part of your lifestyle.
Please join me next time as we continue to “focus on joy.”
[Joy is => inner gladness, delight, calm delight, or even rejoicing.]
