“To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.” ― Ralph Waldo Emerson
Today’s post is the last installment of the Love Yourself portion of the Unity series. It’s essential that we learn to love ourselves so that we are completely able to love our neighbor.
Let’s recap the topics we’ve discussed so far: Love Yourself; What’s Beauty got to do with it?; Don’t Compare; What’s in Your Eye?; What are You Reflecting?; What are You Producing?; “Say” What?!; and Think on It!
Did anything grab your attention? Adjust how you initially felt or thought about yourself? Made you want to change an area(s) in your life? Maybe you’re not really sure…
Now is the perfect time to ask God to help us! Let’s give Him permission to examine our hearts, and to modify or even remove whatever is unpleasant to Him. A great scripture to pray is found in Psalms 139:23-24 (NLT):
“ Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.”
I suggest that you do this during some quiet time and see what God brings to your attention.
Remember, we are not perfect and will make mistakes. But if we ask God, he will forgive us. Hebrews 8:12 (TLB) says, “ And I will be merciful to them in their wrongdoings, and I will remember their sins no more.”
I hope that this journey has helped you to embrace the person God made you to be so that you can Love Yourself!
Thank you for your time. Be Blessed… LR Maddox

Awesome!! We all need to remember to get a check-up with God and have Him help us remove anything that is not of Him out of our lives.
