Stay Encouraged – Make the Call!

Prayer is not eloquence, but earnestness; not the definition of helplessness, but the feeling of it; not figures of speech, but earnestness of soul.” – Hannah More

It has been said multiple times that we are living in unprecedented times. Even as we are still addressing the pandemic and its impacts, there are other challenges occurring.  Many are also facing significant life issues that have stretched them beyond their limits (related to health, job, marriage, children, etc.).

A friend recently told me that they wanted to yell, scream, and cry from what is going on in their life.  I told them, to go ahead, tell God because He can take it!  He is waiting for us to do it.

This is what David did in Psalms 142:1-3 (TPT), “God, I’m crying out to you! I lift up my voice boldly to beg for your mercy. I spill out my heart to you and tell you all my troubles. For when I was desperate, overwhelmed, and about to give up, you were the only one there to help

Did you notice that when David was in despair, he knew God would assist him? Psalms 86:7 (GNT) says, “I call to you in times of trouble because you answer my prayers.”

Remember… “He is close to all who call on him sincerely.” – Psalms 145:18 (TLB)

So, make the call to God, telling Him what is going on. He is available 24×7. You do not need to pick up a phone to do it.  It is not something you need to say with pretty or proper words, but just be heartfelt.

Let’s close in prayer, “Thank you, God! You are good to us and forgiving, full of constant love for all who pray to you. Amen.” – Psalms 86:5 (GNT)
